For dispensing two-part sealants, resins or adhesives you need specialist 2-part guns. For ease of reference, we'll split these guns into; a) dual component guns which, typically have two separate barrels and are partially open with a plastic or metal frame and b) barrel guns which, take 2-part materials (normally mixed up and poured from a tin). For this sub-section we'll stick to a) the 2-part guns which are dual component guns with two separate barrels. 2-part guns (dual component) have two separate barrels or chambers, each containing one part of the 2-part product. They're specifically for 2-part materials that come either separately and also attached (as a double cartridge). These 2-part materials are gunned out in accurate dosage ratios governed by the size of the barrels and plungers that push the material out (either exactly 1:1 or 2:1 etc.) typically one of the parts being a base and the other being a catalyst/activator. The two separate materials are then usually mixed together ready for appliction either by a specialist spiral mixing nozzle (connected at the exit of both cartridges) on the way out or by hand with a spatula or similar.
