Used extensively in many trades such as automotive, construction, HVAC and marine to name a few, butyl tapes are rubber-based sealing tapes made primarily from butyl rubber which is known for it's unique waterproofing and sealing properties. Contained on a flexible strip type reel, butyl tape is non-drying, non-hardening and stays tacky to the touch making it ideal for a variety of sealing tasks especially in applications whereby a strong, waterproof bond is created that can withstand movement and vibration whilst retaining solid adhesion and not cracking or deforming.
