Chemically remove all types of mastic sealants

Old and/or poorly applied mastic sealant is not only unsightly but is also almost certainly ineffective at keeping a watertight, airtight seal for which it was intended. Before re-applying a sealant, mastic sealant removal tools are often used to mechanically dig, scrape, cut or pick out the old cured sealant. Mastic sealant removal is failry universal regardless of the material whether it be silicone (most common), polymer or modified polymer (MP), polyurethane or midfied silane (MS), in that the cured rubber will have to be cut into and then pulled away from the adhered substrates.
