Incorporating silane-modified polymers, modified silane mastic sealants are specifically formulated and tested for high performance and versatility when used in the correct applications compared to the more traditional materials such as silicone and polyurethane. The modification with silane, (a silicon and organic group containing compound) creates some unique properties to the material making the finished product suitable for a select range of unique application scenarios such as in use in damp/wet conditions, ability to be overpainted and good all-round adhesion without the need for a pre-treatment primer or adhesion promoter.
