Designed for the temporary or permanent bonding of most lightweight to mediumweight objects to normally (but not restricted to) vertical surfaces, mounting tapes provide an efficient and cost-effective alternative to traditional fixings such as nails, screws and/or brackets. Mounting tapes are highly versatile in that they can be used for a variety of tasks, such as hanging lightweight pictures, paintings, mirrors, hooks, signage and many other objects but also to effectively secure items together. Mounting tapes are designed and made in various strengths and materials to suit different mounting tasks but in general are either foam-based or acrylic-based in nature always with the adhesive on both sides. Having double-sided adhesion allows for mounting tapes to either bond two similar surfaces together as well as bond one type of surface to another, different surface. Foam-based mounting tapes offer a slight cushion effect and so can be used for surfaces that aren't perfectly flat or straight (e.g. they have allowances for lumps, bumps and curves etc.) whereas acrylic-based mounting tapes are more rigid and thus are more known for their ultimate strength and durability.

Strength & Load Capacity: Some tapes are rated for light loads, while others can support several pounds. Heavy-duty mounting tapes can hold mirrors or heavier decor items. Weather and Moisture Resistance: Many types of mounting tapes are designed to be water-resistant or even weatherproof, making them suitable for outdoor use as well. Removability: Some mounting tapes are designed to be removable without damaging surfaces, while others are more permanent and may leave residue if removed. These tapes are ideal for creating a clean, damage-free mounting solution on various surfaces like wood, glass, metal, tile, and painted walls. They're popular for home, office, and craft projects due to their ease of use and clean appearance.
