Not to be confused with anti-pick sealants (described elsewhere), secure (non-pick) mastic sealants are a very specialist type of sealing product designed for use in high security situations where it's imperative that the fully cured bead can resist tampering or deliberate detatchment by persons (and/or animals) attempting to pick out or peel away the sealant material. The main areas where security and/or vandalism are common and thus could be where secure non-pick mastic sealants are required, tend to be; detention facilities, prison cells, secure units, hospitals, secure and public transportation, schools, colleges and any other area where the integrity of the connecting joint structure is of extreme importance. Like anti-pick sealants, secure (non-pick) mastic sealants usually have very high levels of adhesion to various substrates and are formulated and thoroughly tested to be extra tough and highly durable making removal nigh impossible. Secure (non-pick) mastic sealants come in various types, some 1-part and some 2-part materials but are usually always gun-applied directly into the joint.
